We know how important is to send your message out. It is exciting to make a great poster and feel the paper in your hands! But… we also understand how difficult is to choose a size. Don’t worry, we have some tips for you.
Standard Poster Sizes
There is no “official” size for posters, and although we can probably print a custom size of posters, we recommend to use the common sizes for turnaround and price purposes.
The dimensions commonly used for printing posters in Eminent Signs are:
11” x 17” also called Ledger, Tabloid or ANSI B size. This is a very common size and you can find it everywhere. It is large enough to show your message. We also offer 11.5” x 17.5” which is just 1/2 inch more. Some clients needs this extra to fit the poster in windows or doors.
12” x 18” is also common and is the favourite size for small posters. Could be also 13” x 19” which is only one more inch for special purposes.
18” x 24” Also called Architectural C size is a medium poster. It has a different proportion than the other posters, but it is good for designs that has more information in one side.
19” x 27” This is also a common option. The medium poster with a good proportion for every special occasion or event.
24” x 36” Also called Architectural D Size is considered a big poster. It is good for advertising campaigns.
26” x 39” Is the bigger poster in standard sizes. It is amazing option for new products and signs.
About 8.5″ x 11″
Some clients prefer their posters in a smaller size: 8.5” x 11”, it is a good size because it fits everywhere and is easy to install. We do this posters all the time, are the cheapest option but some of the features that we offer in the other poster sizes may not be available for this size.
